The Country is both the Philosopher's Garden and his Library, in which he Reads and Contemplates the Power, Wisdom and Goodness of God.

I have always loved to write, but it seems it takes a lot of living to come to the place where one has something of value to say. So, if you wonder why the theme of most of my work is basically the same, the answer is - it is the one thing I have to say that is of the greatest value.

I was a regular contributor to Daily Wisdom, an on-line daily devotional, for five years. Daily Wisdom is a ministry of Gospel Communications Network. The devotionals are available on the Daily Wisdom web site as well as on their daily e-mail message.

Presently I am working on a book of devotionals which I hope to have published. I intend to pursue my writing more seriously after I retire in a couple of years.

Besides writing, I have a full time job in the College of Engineering & Science at Louisiana Tech University. I am married to Charles Harrington, who teaches architecture and acrylic painting at Louisiana Tech. If you enjoy painting, or if you are just curious, please visit Charles' web site at http://www.charlesharrington.com Charles is a signature member of the American Watercolor Society and the National Acrylic Painter's Association. A few of his paintings are reproduced on his site.

I am originally from Tulsa, Oklahoma, but we have lived in Ruston, Louisiana since 1980. We hope to retire within the next few years and move back to my husband's home state of Arkansas.

I hope you enjoy my site and that you will be encouraged and at peace during your visit.
